Specialist Security & Counter-Terrorism Training

ATAMAP delivers accredited, scenario-based training programmes for security, law enforcement, military, and corporate clients across Africa and beyond. Our instructors include former military and intelligence personnel with extensive field experience, and our courses are recognised by Nigerian government agencies and international partners.

Our training packages have been developed and tailored by expert trainers and certified consultants with operational experience across hostile environments, high-threat protective operations, and counter-terrorism response. Programmes can be delivered on-site at client facilities, at our dedicated training centres in Abuja, or at manufacturer facilities in Europe and North America.

Each course combines theoretical instruction with hands-on practical exercises, live scenario simulations, and post-course assessment. Successful participants receive ATAMAP certification and, where applicable, manufacturer-endorsed certification from our international partners.

Executive Drivers Tactical Training

Specialised defensive and evasive driving instruction for executive chauffeurs and protective details. Covers anti-surveillance driving, ramming-attack counter-measures, route planning, ambush recognition, vehicle dynamics under fire, and post-incident extraction protocols.

5-day course

Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT)

Comprehensive preparation for personnel deploying to high-risk, conflict, or post-conflict environments. Covers threat recognition, situational awareness, kidnap avoidance, field communications, hostile-survival skills, medical first-responder basics, and crisis decision-making under stress.

3-5 day course

Terrorist Incident Response Course

Tactical response training for security personnel and first-responders to active terrorist incidents. Includes armed and unarmed response doctrine, IED recognition, casualty triage under fire, joint operations with law enforcement, post-incident scene preservation, and chain-of-evidence protocols.

5-day course

Guards Training

Professional certification for static and mobile security guards. Modules include access control, patrol procedures, incident reporting, use-of-force doctrine, basic counter-surveillance, fire prevention and response, customer service, and legal aspects of private security operations.

2-3 week course

Workplace Violence Prevention Training

Corporate-focused training for HR, facilities, and security teams. Covers behavioural threat assessment, workplace conflict de-escalation, warning-sign identification, escalation matrices, and coordination with HR / legal / law enforcement. Aligns with ISO 31000 risk management framework.

2-day workshop

Active Shooter Management Training

Specialised instruction for organisations and educational institutions to prepare for, respond to, and recover from active-shooter incidents. Includes lockdown procedures, run-hide-fight doctrine, communications during an incident, post-event trauma support, and tabletop exercises for leadership teams.

1-2 day course

Terrorist Threat Assessment

Training for intelligence analysts and security managers on conducting structured threat assessments of individuals, facilities, and events. Covers OSINT collection, behavioural indicators, attack-network analysis, target attractiveness scoring, and producing actionable threat-assessment reports.

3-day course

Emergency Response Dialling

Communications and dispatch training for security operations centres (SOC), 24/7 monitoring teams, and emergency-response coordinators. Covers call-handling protocols, multi-agency dispatch, simultaneous notification trees, incident logging, and integration with national emergency numbers.

2-day course

Manufacturer-certified operator courses for the equipment we supply.

In addition to our core security-training catalogue, we deliver operator and technician training for the specialised equipment we distribute. These courses are conducted jointly with manufacturer representatives from our partner facilities in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden, USA, Canada, Czech Republic, and India.
